The Food and Civil Supplies Department of Karnataka will only receive the application for ration card online. This is a move by the department to make it easy for the consumers. Now they will not accept any any printed or handwritten application for ration cards. Even those who are in the rural areas also should also apply for ration card through gram panchayat offices.
Families who have the ration card and those who have already submitted their electricity meter RR number and property number needn’t submit again.
Here is how to apply online for ration card registration.
First , you need to go the website for ration card registration by clicking here.
Second, select the language English/Kannada. Even though English is there much of the text is in Kannada. First you need to select the district. District names are in Kannada, if you want to try here is list and corresponding in English.After selection it goes back to Kannada, so select English again.

2) Fill the form with all the required information like Residence, RRno of the electricity meter etc,Press the GO button which is after the RRNo then only the next page comes, then click next page.
3) Then need to give all the details and go to next page.
4) After all this then you will receive an acknowlegement by SMS or email for your registration of ration card.
Later a food inspector will come to spot and verify it. Then ration card will be issued.
