How to add your name in Karnataka Voters List

I had posted an earlier post regarding checking your name in the voters list in Karnataka. I got many feed back asking me questions. So I am answering these questions.

Q: How can I know if my name is in the voters list? If it’s not there,what should I do?

A: First, you should check in the old voters list. Second, you check the new draft list here.Sorry the list is in kannada in PDF format. Still, if your name is not in the draft rolls published,then you should apply using this form 6 and submit it to respective Electoral Registration Officer of your area.

Q: I want to delete my name from the voters list

A: Use form 7

Q: There are mistakes in the entry? How can I correct it?

A: Use Form 8 to make modifications in the voters list.

Q: Where should I submit the forms?

A: Check this website for links to know the office address, and phone no of all Electoral Registration Officers in Bangalore Urban District and BBMP and their assistants. First find your area and submit the forms to the respective Officer.

What is the procedure to get a Voter ID Card during non election period

Now if want to get a Voter ID Card what will be the procedure and where exactly I need contact to whom.

Is voter ID Cards issued any time or only specific period

Hi,

Please help update.

Election IDs are normally issued before elections. One of the other way is to go the local politicians and ask they may give directions and to whom to contact.
